Canting process, the most important part. you screw this up, you will screw the whole batik.
While Sharon & Yi Ling do the canting, Lydia did some color scheme testing. Me? Tangkap gambar la, or else you won't be seeing these pics. xP We learned few things like : do not mixed the dye like wht you do in Drawing II class. It does involve painting, but it is best to mix on the spot, as in doing the mixing and blending on the cloth right away. Don't take too long to mix coz it will dry up easily. :P
Yey! Canting is done. Must make sure the wax goes through the back and also thick enough to prevent colours coming out of the border.
My favourite part:coloring. Finally, no warna pencerobohan. Can I call it as "tiada pendatang asing?" This part onwards, everybody start coloring with these nice dye colours.
Done! Wait for it to dry then apply fixel. Oh, I see Afeno's group tribal batik (left). :P
We are very very happy with this piece. The last 3 failures did help us alot from many aspects, like the colour scheme, the colour mixture and also the canting. I was late for presentation, thinking it starts at 1pm. Luckily Yi Ling called me. supposed to start at 10am! How silly. At that time she called me, it was like 10 mins to 10am! Eee! I rushed like hell! And I was not allow to get it. Doors locked. Malu only. -_-" Later, I managed to get in la. :D
